About myself
Education is an interest and commitment of many years. Apart from having been a pupil and student myself (!), I began in earnest as the chairman of governors for Trinity School, Dundee in 1980. I found myself speaking about education often but without a qualification in that discipline. So in 1984 I set off for a one year training course to teach and qualified with a PGCE from Westminster College, Oxford.
For 30 years from 1985, I have been on the staff of William Parker School, Hastings (a Church of England school and now ARK William Parker Academy). There I taught maths for many years and served as school chaplain.
In 1995 my wife and I started a small rural early years education provision, Mr Noah's Nursery School. Here I have sought to implement a programme of care and education which is both Froebelian and Christian.
Qualifications: MTheol, PGCE, EYPS.
